What is WellCard™?
A. WellCard™
is a low-cost health discount membership program that offers savings
on health services such as medical care, chiropractic care, prescription
drugs, and other health services and products.
Q.
How do I use WellCard™ with my insurance to get discounts on my prescription
medication?
A.
Just take your WellCard™ membership card to a participating provider
location. The pharmacist will process the prescription through our
network administrator's pharmacy benefit processing system. You will
pay the discounted WellCard™ price and then you may file your insurance
claim manually, in paper form. (Note: in order to use WellCard™ with
insurance, the insurance claim must be filed manually, by the member,
in paper form.) The WellCard™ prescription drug benefit may not be
used in conjunction with any other discount program, HMO, or managed
care program. However, you may be able to use your WellCard™ pharmacy
discount benefit on drugs that are not covered by your HMO or managed
care provider.

What if I’m traveling or moving and need to use one of the covered
health services?
A.
Your WellCard™ membership is valid in most states. Just call the toll
free number on your membership card and we will supply you with provider
names closest to your geographic area. You may also search for providers
on this site. Provider search

Why would a provider be interested in this program?
A.
The WellCard™ program allows providers to acquire new patients and
increase their customer base.
Q.
Do I have to enroll in the plan to find out which providers are
in the network?
A.
NO . Simply click on the "Search
Providers" tab and you will see the available providers by zip
code.
Q.
Are there any age restrictions?
A.
Because this is not an insurance program, there are no age limits.
Q.
Do I have to wait until I get the WellCard™ card or can I receive
the discounts now?
A.
You will have to wait until you receive your membership card before
obtaining the discounts. The provider will need certain information
from the card. Your WellCard™ ID card shall be e-mailed to you within
48 hours after your payment is received.
Q.
How do I locate providers in other areas? (closer to work, etc.)
A. You simply visit this site and do a search by zip code.
You may also telephone and request the information by calling the
ppoNEXT National Customer Service Center at 800-334-5646. Identify
yourself as a ppoNEXT member.
Q.
I have moved and need to change my address.
A. Just e-mail
us or call our toll-free
number. We will enter your new address in our system and shall
send you a new membership package if you request it.
Q.
Can the mail order pharmacy fill a one-year supply of prescription
medicine?
A.
No, the maximum prescription quantity filled at one time is a ninety-day
supply.
Q.
I went to a WellCard™ provider and they don’t offer WellCard™/
would not accept my card.
A.
If you experience such a situation ask the provider to call1-800-730-9730
for an explanation of benefits or ask him to call the 888 “eligibility
and patient responsibility number” on your Wellcard™ ID
Q.
How is WellCard™ different from insurance? WellCard™ offers discounts
for health-related services.
A.
WellCard™ is not insurance. There are no deductibles or claim forms
to complete. WellCard™ may work with your insurance to lower your
out-of-pocket expenses. You may be able to use your card for prescription
drugs not covered by your HMO or managed care plan. However, WellCard™
does not undertake to pay for or reimburse you for your health care
expenses.

I already have insurance. How does WellCard™ work with my insurance?
A.
WellCard™
can be used with some insurance to reduce the amount of out-of-pocket
expenses. The WellCard™ discounts are based on the total cost of the
service/product before any insurance claims are filed. Therefore,
if your insurance has a high deductible or a high co-payment, WellCard™
discounts can be applied to help reduce some of the out-of-pocket
expense. WellCard™ may not be used in conjunction with any HMO, discount
or managed care plan.

What do I do if my provider doesn’t recognize the WellCard™ ?
A.
If you experience such a situation ask the provider to call 1-800-730-9730
for an explanation of benefits or ask him to call the 888 “eligibility
and patient responsibility number” on your Wellcard™ ID

How do I find which providers participate in the WellCard™ program?
A.
Simply click on the "Find a Provider" tab and follow the prompts.
You may also telephone and request the information by calling the
ppoNEXT National Customer Service Center at 800-334-5646 .

Q.
How will a provider know I am eligible for a discount?
A.
Medical providers call1-800-730-9730 for an explanation of
benefits or they can call the 888 “eligibility and patient responsibility
number” on your Wellcard™ ID

How will I know if I received the appropriate discount?
A. We have made special efforts in selecting our providers
to guarantee customer satisfaction and to provide the utmost quality
of service. These providers have special procedures in place to ensure
you receive your proper discount. If you feel you have not been given
the proper discount, e-mail us at info@thewellcard.com
or fax us at 760-603-0569 with the following information. The
name and address of the provider, the provider's tax I. D., the procedure
code (CPT4 code) and the amount you were billed. We will investigate
and reply to you within 5 work days after receipt of your information.
Q.
Can I use this card while traveling?
A. Yes,
your card is accepted throughout the United States. You can locate
and visit any participating provider by following the steps outlined
above for locating a provider.
Q.
Is my entire immediate family entitled to the same benefits?
A.
If your WellCard™ shows only your name then only you are eligible
to use it, however if the WellCard™ shows i.e. "John Smith and Family"
then it covers you and your entire immediate family.
Q.
Is my satisfaction guaranteed?
A.
Yes,
your satisfaction is guaranteed for 30 days. If within 30 days you
are not completely satisfied, we will refund your total payment no
questions asked. After the 30 day satisfaction guaranteed period you
may cancel at any time, however you will not receive any refunds.
Q.
Do I have to take an exam or physical?
A.
No. Everyone qualifies without any kind of exam.
Q.
How can WellCard™ afford to offer such a program?
A. We
negotiate with our providers and suppliers to offer you discounts
and incentives. They benefit from having the additional business.
They benefit by receiving payment immediately at the time of service.
They don't have to wait for payment nor do they have to submit lengthy
and time consuming paperwork They save time and money and this is
passed along to you the WellCard™ member.

So I have to use my card at a participating location?
A. That's
right! ...and that is why we chose to partner with the leading service
providers in the business. You get a quality product or service from
a provider you know.
